Jim DeGarmo is the Owner/Director of National Security Training Academy. He has made a lifelong passion out of security and technology. After attending WVU in Electrical Engineering, Jim began his security and technology career with a prominent Northern Virginia alarm company. Through the ensuing years Jim gained extensive knowledge and experience in developing technologies that has made him a powerhouse of information in the classroom. Spending years as a Xerox Field Engineer laid the groundwork for the broad base of security, network, software and practical troubleshooting experience that he is so fond of injecting into seminars and classes.
During the time he was a Xerox Technical Trainer, Jim found his forte; the ability and passion to speak at technical seminars and to teach in a classroom setting. Over twelve years of extensive teaching experience comes to bear every time he speaks in front of a class.
Being an avid reader and with a passion for the amount of knowledge on the internet, Jim continues to keep up with technology and security.
